Im having trouble searching this forum, so dont get mad if another thread already exists about this issue....

I recently changed my fluid and filter on my TH400 transmission from my 78 k20 4x4. It ran fine before, just had a leaky gasket. After the fluid change, now the truck wont go anywhere. It shifts into all gears, but when it is in any drive gear it makes a spinning noise ( like something isnt engaging maybe ). The noise didnt sound good, so i turned off the engine and havnt turned it on again.

Does anyone have any clue what might have happened?

let me know thanks :)

Check out my you tube page, i posted a video that shows the sound i am talking about. https://youtu.be/c3G24AT96vU

Sorry to hear. Not sure what happened to yours, but it is not the 1st time this has happened. At our shop we have had the same experience on really worn trannys, changed ATF and wound up pushing them out of the repair bay by hand...

Does that there truck have a full time 203? Put your front driveshaft back on or shift it to high loc.

Sure you got plenty of fluid?
