Looking at what I believe would be a good spare transmission for my 86 C3500. The nice clean pic is the one for sale. Mine is the filthy one. The numbers are the same, except the very last one on the top. I'm hoping the 465452 is the important one? Is there a difference between the two?

There partial pics but both appear to be sm465 4spds.

There are differences in 465’s between 2wd vs 4wd and then between some 4wd versions depending on year and/or tcase.

If both are 2wd they should interchange. ‘85+ use a hydraulic clutch set up but the bellhousing interchanges so that’s not a problem.

Yes, both are 2 wheel drive. Didn't think to mention that. Mine is an 86, I'm sure the other one is older. It comes with a starter, bell housing, flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch disc. I'm sure I can use the trans, but most likely I either can't or wouldn't use anything else. I think the flywheel is different depending on a one piece or two piece rear main seal.

Yeah, 1 pc vs 2 pc rear main seal flywheels are different.

If it’s 84 or older the bellhousing will be similar but no mounting tab for the slave cylinder, other than that they’re the same.

Thanks for all the help. I bought it this evening so I'm glad I can use it needed.
