Transfer case question?

My 85 k10 had solid hub covers on the front axle when I bought it,full time front axel engagement. I installed the lock/ unlocked hubs. Then I heard that my transfer case has to always spin for lubrication. I'm guessing that's why for the full time hubs? Any thoughts will be appreciated. For now I just leave the hubs locked.

There's an oil pump eccentric in the NP208 that is going to lubricate the case regardless of what hubs are in the front axle. Your truck may get a little better mileage with the manual locking hubs as well.

Need to know what t case is in your truck first.
Guess would be someone swapped in a full time front axle. More likely than someone swapping in an old 203 t case AND a FT axle.
But if it is a 203 see if it’s been converted to run PT.

NP 203 is the only FT case GM used on these trucks afaik.
