Trans Linkage parts

Sorry hard to get a pic. I am trying to reinstall the trans linkage. the cotter pins/hair pins are easy enough to find, but the spring and coned washer to keep the spring in place....any ideas where I can find these items? My big feet smashed the spring

Are you talking about the spring that keeps tension on the pin clip?
Spring wave washer + flat washer, there's a bazillion of them on Amazon or I'd bet Doorman or someone sells them in the little "Help" section of the parts store.

@Ken B we had the same problem and could not find everything so we went with the Lokar ACA-1804 linkage. Easy install and works well.

I believe the factory linkage is designed so that it is less sensitive to the engine/trans torquing over, as well as chassis and cab movement. That goofy swivel rod with hook end arrangement actually serves a purpose. The spring and plastic cup are available new, but I don't recall who sells them.

It does but that is what goes on the shaft that allows the Lokar to connect. Really deceiving looking but works flawlessly

I was looking for 3.5 speaker enclosures. Couldn't find them. Until reading here lately.

If you search speaker pods nothing search speaker baffle and bang there they are.

So that knurled sleeve fits the flat spots of the shaft on one side, and then receives the tube nut on the other side to hold it tight? Kinda neat. I can see where that adjustable lever arrangement would be very useful for a wide variety of cable shifter installs in a crap ton of GM vehicles.

This reminds me back when I replaced the rubber cab mounts in my '82. Looked at everything I thought. Took the fan off, popped off the distributor cap, brake line clamps to the frame and maybe some other items? Loosened all the bolts, jacked up the passenger side and slipped in the mounts, bolts back in loose. Jacked the drive's side, did those and tightened all the bolts.

Was a day or two later, I went to shift the trans to low gear, would not go. Yeah I bent the shifter rod, actually stretched it straighter. Not to hard to fix but just a reminder, you need to look at everything.
