Hi everyone, new to the square body world. Did a quick search and didn't find my issue. My 85 Silverado has a very tight turn signal when i use the left, the right is normal and moves freely. Any suggestions to look for as I tear into the column? Thanks!

I’d make sure the stalk is seated properly, which it probably is, and I imagine it has to do with the switch itself. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Agreed. Also might not hurt to pull out the stalk and verify that the cable that runs from the stalk isn't being pinched between the stalk and the hole in the steering column when you try to operate the left turn.
Hope that makes some sense. That cable can bind if you turn left or right and the cable isn't centered in the hole in the column that the stalk passes through.

Watching this one as my '84 has the exact same issue. New switch from rockauto.

Thanks for the quick responses. I will take a look at the stalk and open it up to see what's going on when I get back home in a couple of weeks. I will post what I find.
