It's not for a square body but its a GM and this switch might be the same on some pickups too. Anyways its a 1992 camaro and
it started out by the fan not turning off and staying on low A while ago. And now you can see smoke coming from this switch. The fan speed switch works just fine, you can see melted plastic where the smoke comes from. I found used replacement units but hoping for just the switch if I can find one.
Thank you in advance.

I just ordered it. I'm pretty confident it will fit good.

Maybe not closed yet.
Okay so I got it in now and it's safe to use but the fan stays on low all the time even when it's switched to off still. I had to replace thus switch anyways because it was smoking. But I thought it would fix both problems. Now I'm wondering if it's not the fan switch or ? It's not the normal symptoms to my knowledge of a blower motor resistor. It's probably a common problem. My 78 k10 started doing it a few years ago and it's always bugged me.

A lot of GM vehicles with AC run the fan on low all the time. It's part of the 'flow-thru' ventilation system.

Very interesting. I wonder if this 92 camaro was setup like that too.

just a thought the left hand switch is really a speed selector the top left to right thing is what turns fan off when in most left position. See if that helps. If not then it's most likely an issue with blower motor relay
