I just picked up a 76 K10 that had been sitting for 14 years. The tail light harness looks like it's been cut or the connector that ties to the main harness was cut off. Do I need a new tail light harness to connect it or something else?

it's hard to tell if all the wires are coming out of the back of the plug. if they are and test good, repair them. highdesertranger

repair, replace with a different connector, eliminate the connector or get a new/used tail light harness. I have a spare tail light harness for sale, but it is for 83-87. Not sure if connectors are different

It's a 4-pin connector that runs up towards the cab. It looks like the back lights were supposed to be connected together with the female end connector but the connector was cut off and then the wires were cut. I may just use a 4-pin trailer harness connector and see if that works.
