Tail lights but no Brake Lights

I replaced the left brake light socket because the light blew and the old socket was a little melted and when I replaced the bulbs they blew immediately. Now the tail lights work but not the brake lights. Changed the brake light switch but still no brake lights.

Check the "STOP HAZ" fuse and report back with us.

I checked the fuze. I was looking under the dash and saw another 2 prong plug not plugged into anything. The stop light switch that i pulled out of the truck had only a 2 prong male plug in back. But at oreillys i noticed they had some that had 2 plugs on them. And i didnt see anywhere that the extra plug should go to. But when i got the truck last yr the brakes did work with the original switch.

Do your turn signals work for both sides in the rear?

The rear left one doesnt at all. Having problems with them too.

So update the brake lights work. When i went to replace bulbs old bulbs did not have any markings and oreillys guy grabbed 1154 instead of 1157 and the filament for the brake light vould not take the volts or amps that was needed and kept blowing.
