Ok since the new motor is going in me and my budy the junk yard junkie are going to post some pics in this thread over the next couple weeks with a step by step instruction on how to take and modify a truck turbo into a not so roots supercharger
We have already sourced our parts for this build and with a build budget of 500 bucks max we will see how much this stock block can really handle

Is this just for small blocks or big blocks also?

Interesting...

Why are you changing a turbo to a supercharger? Why not just use it as a turbo? Why not just source a supercharger? A not so roots supercharger is also called a centrifugal supercharger, but you knew that, right.

This will be an interesting one to follow.

Ok so we have kind of mocked up the bracket that will come off the block and the head and we will use the ac pully and it looks like everything will line up nicely

So we will start with some 3/8 stock to build the bracket and to answer your question turbos run hot and need controllers and waste gates and blow off valves this is a junk yard build for fun
And thanks for going to the site I provided and then correcting me anyway

Not being cynical at all. You just want it to be. I was simply asking questions to fully understand your line of thinking. I know you are doing it on a budget. It just seems like you could get a supercharger cheap to use, instead of turning a turbo into one. Superchargers create heat and need a wastegate to blow off extra pressure just like a turbo.

Hey, a junk yard build to blow up a motor! :happy160:
