I picked up an 80 tilt column today but realized that something's not right with the lower end of it. I'm not familiar with the lower end of the column, but I think I'm looking at the lower bearing that needs to be seated back down in the column and it's missing the bearing retainer. Can someone correct me or confirm what I'm looking at?

Looks like someone took a hammer to the end of the column shaft.

You are looking a a mess. Just did my column, you can look at it also. Would like to see more angles but I don't see the steering shaft.

yes you need a new lower bearing, I wonder what the upper end looks like. I wonder what prompted them to beat that shaft with a hammer. highdesertranger
