Does anyone have a source for decent door hinge bushings.

I have bought enough of the Dorman pin kits to do 2 doors and the bushings seem like crap.
They are very brittle and porous.

I have broken 4 of them already with just light use.
I even tried boring out the hole to 7/16", which is way to big.
27/64" I think will be a good size to ream the hole out.
13/32" is a bit too small.

Have you tried classic truck parts by chance?

I have not, I actually just bought some TRQ kits.

I will see how those are.

Have you had good luck with Classic Truck Parts?

Honestly I checked out their booth down at Sema, they seemingly make high quality products and back them

I've always used the ones in the help section (probably Dorman). They're not the best quality but much bettter than failed bushings, and even if they go out every few years it's only a few minutes to swap them out, never minded much. However, if someone made a better quality replacement that would certainly be cool. Hell, I should make some bronze ones at work or something

I got the TRQ pin kits and the bushings seem very good.
Though, I didn't use them.

I bought the GM bushings and used the Dorman pins and I am happy with the result.

I figure the GM bushings were the best as they were NOS also.
