Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. When the carpet was installed Dynamat and padding was used. Inside of the doors will be next when the panels get back on.
I was thinking about using Dynamat on the firewall when I get under and do the re-wiring and heater work.
Most of the interior noise is from the motor and trans., as far as I can tell.


I used the summit brand for the firewall
And then I put commercial pad
Over it with some trimmed to fit card board

That's the loudest area on my truck as well.

It made a good difference adding insulation to firewall and adding blocking covers below the dash

I used similar stuff to recreate the center console sides for my vette, I didnt like the carpeted side panels for it. Where did you find yours?
