It should but you'll need to take the end off the vent line on the tank side. They have like a check valve type thing in them that will affect your fuel pressure from the additional restriction. It will also need extending to about 1/8-1/4 off the bottom of the tank to avoid aeration of the fuel.

I added the 1" extension throttle bracket kit this morning. WOW! What a difference!

The only hard part was getting one of the bolts in place with my sausage fingers and poor eyesight.

I won't go as far to say that it was un-driveable, pre-backet..... but it was hard getting past the "stiff" point of the throttle arc without lurching forward or chirping the tires. Not good for a smooth takeoff when the light turns green and you are next to a policeman!

I sure wish that I had not let that bracket sit on my desk for the last month.

Next up - pulling the sending unit to try to bend the float rod so that it does not stick in place. It would be nice not to hit up the gas station every other day due to the non-functioning fuel gauge.

Love your truck man, my dad had a '69 I loved and the fugger wouldn't let me have it when he retired it. Sent it off for scrap. Pissed me off. Love those old GMC's with the quad round eyes.
