Shackle flip

So I have an 83 c30 converting it to 4wd and lifting it, wondering if the lift kits and shackle flips for a k30 in the rear will work on the c30 axle and frame with little to no modification.

The shackle flip brackets are the correct dimensions to work, but the holes won't line up and you'll have to drill new ones.

ORD carries the 4WD rear axle front spring hanger. It is 2" longer than the C30 version. You will need this to make the flip kit work correctly. You can see the OEM hangers on my K30 put the spring eye below the frame (photo #2 & 3).

I did this conversion a few years ago and use the shackle flip but you will have to move the spring perches on the axle.2 Wheel Drive Spring purchase are narrower on the C30s

Sorry I did it on a c20 so maybe the c30’s are the same width as a k30.

Yep. K30's, C30's and also crew cab C20's all share the narrower perch spacing.
