I'm not sure what's so secret about this paint code? but it's not showing up on any paint charts I can Find. does anyone have a modern WA# for the Nevada Gold Metalic? Thanks Bob

Looks like WA8799 to me.

You know, of course, that you can't go by the noun name. The naming is marketing magic.

Carousel Red on a Pontiac is the same as Hugger Orange on a Chevy; "Black" on a Chevy pickup might be "Tuxedo Black" on a GMC and "Black Diamond" on a Cadillac, even though they are the same recipe.

That's why you have to go by the RPO code (and the corresponding WA number).

By the way, in 1986 pickups were "High Solid Enamel".

If you want a more "modern" formulation in base coat/clear coat you can request to have it mixed.

That's what I did when I painted my '87 (code 72 Apple Red, WA7475).

Thanks Keith! I may have looked at that exact chart and focused too much on the numbers below the colors and not noticed the RPO code up to the left! But a lot of the listings I found for 86 GM Truck paint codes skip over 67 ? I'll check out WA8799 Bob
