Has anyone used Blind Rivet nuts in place of the standard U style extruded clips? I wanted to get advice and opinions on using stainless blind rivet nuts on hangers, radiator supports, inner fenders and anywhere else in place of clips.
- Anyone done this?
- Any pros / cons?

Thanks
Blair

If you want to put them in the stock locations, the holes will probably be to big. I would think stainless riv-nuts would take a special tool, possibly hydraulic, to set them, I wouldn't think the normal tool would be stout enough for stainless.

The extruded clips allow for some movement and adjustability. I'd be concerned about future adjustments on some of the places you mentioned. They do look better, I just don't think these trucks were built with tight enough tolerances to use them on sheetmetal.

The rivet nuts work great and are easy to install but like Bennyt said you don’t have any movement for adjusting.

Yep, riv nuts are very specific to the size of the hole and there's then only adjustment in one of the panels, not both.

There are a few designs of tools that are hand operated though.
