Looking for advice and opinions for brush on or tube seam sealer. I have zero experience with it, and want to hit some areas including in the cowl area.

I've used the caulking gun type and used a cheap brush to smooth out if needed on flat area and my finger for corners.

3M "Fast N Firm" is a great seam sealer for most body seams. It's paintable, pliable, spreadable and does not shrink or crack.

Andy do you think this would be good to seal the cowl area of my 86 c10? Would it work if i put it over the factory seam sealer, I cant get it out?

It would work nicely in the cowl, the hard part is just getting in there since it doesn't flow out on its own. But once it's in there, it will do the job well.

Going over the factory sealer though, it's anyone's guess as to how long it may last. It may work for a year, or it could maybe work for 20 years. The problem is if the factory sealer continues to crack and loosen up, it will be hard for the new sealer to do it's job.
