It's time to replace the front 3 point belts on the suburban, and also the front seats. I'm going to try for seats out of something from the early 2000's Suburbans perhaps, we'll see what I can find. In the mean time, I really need to get some new seat belts. The passenger belt mechanism is stuck, and the belts are quite worn. I'm looking at these, $200 for both sides:

Does anybody have experience with these? Seems like it would be better than junk yard. Safety is a genuine concern here. I'm also interested in any specific seats that might be an easy install with minimal cutting, welding and bracket making. Do you all have any suggestions?

Thanks!

You could have current ones rebuilt. I see a few guys that go that route. A nice seat that I am just thinking of because I own one, try getting a late 90s(up to 96) bench from a gmt400 or f series ford. Very basic seats that have similar mounting design(flat floor, no special features)

I don't want to rebuild the current ones- it'll just cost too much money overall. I think I'm going to try to get buckets with built in seat belts out of less than 20 year old SUV if possible. Even if I had to spend $150 on a nice set, it would be cheaper than the new belts altogether. Any thoughts?

I just got a set of buckets from a 2006 1500. They are leather, power, and have aftermarket seat heaters for $50. They also have the built in seatbelts. They look like these, but gray leather.https://images.app.goo.gl/hs6H85K4JumusP2E9

I had those beats from Seat Belt Planet in my last truck. The fit was a little tight between the seat and the door, but worked perfectly. I had the generic GM look buckles. I'm planning on having the ones in my '85 re-webbed as no one offers charcoal.
