hey all...hoping for some guidance on rebuilding a sm465.

it shifts fine and honestly there isn't a ton of a play in between gears, my issues are more on the leaking side of the spectrum. it seems to be leaking from ...well....everywhere. lol. question is how difficult are they to regasket? is it better to bring it into a trans shop and have them do it? Could the leaks stem from internal problems inside the trans (pressure build up, worn bearing, ect.)...or just old age on the sm465?

thanks for the direction.

if it works fine I would just reseal it. it's not that hard there are only a couple of gaskets and seals. there is no pressure in the trans so that wouldn't cause a leak. it's not overfilled is it? highdesertranger
