Hello all. Please help lol. On my 83 C10 one day I was driving and told I had no rear brakes or turn signal. Front lights worked and park lights worked. Checked ground behind light and cleaned it. Also changed the flashers on the fuse box. Turn signal came back but still nothing. Needed a new steering column anyway so hoped to kill two birds with one stone. Got things plugged and now rear lights and turn signals are back but now brakes seemed reversed. When I plug the brake switch up the lights stay on and when I press the button they go off instead of the opposite. Separated the white and green wire on the connectors to run directly but still same issue. Any advice or answer? Thank you

Can you turn the plug over on the brake switch?

That's how the switch is supposed to work. Pressing the button in breaks the circuit. Releasing the button makes contact. Probably just needs adjusted.
