82 C10

1.00" rotor: A6 inner, A3 outer
1.25" rotor: A5 inner, A3 outer

Also, calipers are different for the above rotors, but pads are the same, right?

Thanks.

I always thought the inner bearings were the same?

Calipers are different widths, pads are the same.

I always thought the inner bearings were the same?

Back around 1995, I converted a 69 C10 to front disc brakes using 86 C10 spindles. Went to the parts store and bought rotors, calipers and bearings. Nothing fit! Went back and found a counter guy who said, "Oh, you must have the spindles used with light duty brakes. We don't see them very often."

Sure enough, the light duty parts worked. And AS I RECALL the inner bearing was different.

Was thinking about getting the bearings from Rock Auto because they are literally half as much as my local parts store for the same brand (National). But I'll probably buy the inners locally, so I can easily exchange them if they don't fit.

When I did the brakes on my 87 it was a pain to find the correct parts. Told them I had HD brakes, 1.25 rotors, and the inner bearing they gave me didn't work. Said the numbers matched for either 1" or 1.25 rotors. I finally took my old bearing in with me and could barely make out a p/n stamped on it but the guy looked for a half hour to match it. He tracked it down in a book finally as a match to an early 70s Vega. Half a work day wasted on inner bearings.

OK, I have parts in hand and can confirm the following for C10 trucks:

1.00" rotor (GM brake codes JB1 and JB3)
National: A6 inner, A3 outer
Timken: SET6 inner, SET3 outer

1.25" rotor (GM brake codes JB5, JD3, and JD5)
National: A5 inner, A3 outer
Timken: SET5 inner, SET3 outer

Spindles and calipers are different for 1.00" and 1.25" rotors. However, pads are the same, and usually have "52" in the part number (because GM called them D52 pads and used them on many types of cars and trucks).

Hope the above info saves someone here a little time and frustration!
