1987 GMC V1500 5.7 TBI 700r4. Just put a new passing gear cable on, now the cable from the mount to the throttle body is not at the right angle. The old one was fine but this new one is not. It is the original mount but it seems to go more straight than an angle.

700r4 doesn't have a passing gear cable. That is a throttle valve cable,it controls transmission line pressure,if not installed and adjusted properly you will cause permanent transmission damage very, very, very quickly.
