Paint on a fan belt?

How many hours of run time would you figure it takes to wear the paint off a fan belt? This is the belt on the 63 Lincoln that fell in my lap a while back.

A while. We have some trailers with pony motors on them, the painted belts still look fresh with several hundred hours on them.

Thanks. Pony motors on trailers? Now I'm curious as to what your running on a trailer?? Hydrolics? Nurse trailers?

To run hydraulics and an alternator for a 12v control system. That way the trailer can be used as a stand alone unit with no truck needed.

Oh, and the purpose is bale hauling. Large squares. The drag chain floor is controlled by remote so the person loading/unloading bales doesn't have to constantly get in and out of the loader.

In the Oil Field the Vacuum trucks that pull the salt water off the oil, run reversible pony motors to be able to suck on water, or blow it off in water waste disposals.
