Driving me crazy, 85 c10 just put new compressor on, flushed evap, condenser, lines, old orifice tube broke someone before me tried to get out, used my tool modified big deck screw to get out, new tube would hang up on groove and burrs by others attempts.smoothed out with sandpaper flapper , new felt ok going in, . 36 oz r134, 3oz pag 150, as per four seasons chart. High idle 90 degrees outside, 35 psi low. Not reading any high, accumulator cold sweating, compressor discharge hot, 60 degrees at vents. Gauge works, when I shut off to check equalization high side and low side match, I cycle compressor by jumping low pressure switch. Freon blowing by o ring on orifice ? Condenser physical restricting flow? As you know high side port in-between orifice and condenser, wish I had a fitting at in take of condenser and discharge of compressor. See what I'm getting from compressor, no room on line at condenser for orifice tube

So there's never a reading at all on the high side?

Many times, the high side adapter port will not actually engage the Schrader valve and you won't get a pressure reading from it.
