No power

I just replaced my starter due to some issues that it was having, put new battery cables on too.

And I go to start it up and I have no power at all. I have check the fuses, battery connections, re-installed the old starter, and even put in a new ignition switch.

Im lost as what I should be looking into next. I have zero power, no lights or anything.

* battery is full charged too, less than a year old.
* it is a 1978 GMC C2500, with what I believe is a “94 era SBC 350 in it. The wiring is a mess

I would lean towards you damaged the wire or fusible link that connects to the starter lug. check for voltage at the junction block on the fire wall.

Get down there and lightly pull on the wires going to the larger terminal. if one stretches, you found your problem.

Instructions unclear, I yanked on the wires like you said now the thing arcs all over the place and makes cool light affects.
