No one has a practical use for dually split rims anymore, right?

I am really surprised that in 2020 is even asking about this. I had some on a '69 longhorn pickup and could not find anyone to install tires on those rims - and that was 1975/76.

If you were about 1000 miles closer I would take them off your hands if they are the "split ring" model.
It's the solid ring 2 piece that is most dangerous and I would not use them.

Before being drafted into the US Army (circa 1960), dad worked at a tire shop. There were a few circle marks in the ceiling from split rings. They had a special spot for airing those up, with a cage to flip down over them. Anyone caught inflating a split ring off a truck without using the cage was fired on the spot. I'd assume the same for the guys responsible for the ring marks on the ceiling, possibly on their way out the door to a hospital.

The RH5 type is the failure prone one that became known as the "widow makers". The other locking ring types are perfectly safe AS LONG AS there's no heavy rust or cracks that could cause them to fail. They also need installed by someone that knows exactly what they are doing.
