One of the local funeral directors where I grew up had a 1966 GTO 2 door post sedan with a 389, tripower and 4 speed. He ordered up a new 1966 Superior Bonneville hearse ambulance with a 421, tripower and 4 speed (apparently the only professional chassis to ever have a manual after 1960), he said that ambulance would flat out blow the doors off the GTO. Not sure what gears were in either one but it's a feat when an 8000 lb. hearse beats a muscle car.

My 1969 Superior Bonneville hearse/ambulance didn't have a 4 speed, but it did have a factory 428HO.
