Old school car/truck enthusiast. Got this truck (84 C10 SWB) from a family member that passed after it sat for 7 years. Currently she is pretty much stock. I know from paper work that it has had a Goodwrench crate 350 put in. And when I received it it had 82k miles on frame, 48k miles on the motor and needed a trans. Had the TH350 that was in it rebuilt with comp plates and as things have have gone out or failed I have replaced them with "upgrades". Shes currently got a high rise intake, edlebrok prostreet carb, hooker comp 2.5 inch headers, 3in exhaust with magnum 44 dumped at the rear axel, and everything else i.e. alternator valve covers, etc. (Non performance parts) have been replaced with either chrome or aluminum. The truck body, paint, and interior is all original, with the exception of the wheels. I am here due to scoring a 4 bolt main 454, 2 sets of heads, intake, and all internals for 250 bucks. Looking into building it as a stroker but I know more about small blocks than big. Seeking advice from people that have dealt with this and some input from those who have had to bore or chose to bore and stroke this motor. As a side not I don't believe from what I've seen that the 454 needs a bore, probably just a resurface, but the idea I have is going 30 over with maybe a 4.25 stoke if possible. Like I said before I've done some small blocks but this will be my first soli build on a 454.
