Hi,
Just joined up since I bought a new project, and will be looking for some parts and advice.
I've been driving square body Chevys for over 30 years, my oldest is a 1980 K20 400/400 with a Myers 7 1/2' plow that I bought in 1994 and have used as a work truck and snow plow. It's pretty rusty and beat up, been parked for a few years, waiting to be rebuilt.
My current work truck / snow plow is a 1987 3/4 ton 350/700R4 with a Western Boss V plow, that I am retiring since the tranny is going out.
My new project is a 1978 K10 350 / 4 speed, short box, which I will use as a plow until I rebuild the 1980, then I will rebuild it, and swap the flair side box for a Stepside.
When I was young, I drooled over the new 1976 Stepsides, but couldn't afford one, now I finally got one (almost).
I a looking for a Stepside box for the 1878, and would like to update the tranny to something with an overdrive.
Jeff
