Hey everyone,

My name is sean and I own two Chevy trucks. First one is a 1986 Silverado c10 long wheel base or long bed which ever you prefer. It has a stock 305/700R4 and runs very well for its age. The second is a 1981 Scottsdale c10 shortbed. Has a 305/TH350, this is my project truck. Looking to make it into a lowered street rod type. I'll post pics to get you all familiar with them. Has anyone put a TPI/T5 from a iroc into a c10 and if so will did it all fit right?????

Howdy! Engine and trans can be swapped in, but a T5 is a bit weak for a truck if you ask me. They are weak in a stock Camaro.

Welcome Sean !!! I'm familiar with Madera, CA right off I-5. Had me a little experience once in Madera and I'd have to admit, I did **** my pants all over I-5.

I was about 19 maybe 20 then. Towing my 62 Chevy truck loaded heavy, with my Gf's 71 Duster using a Rented tow bar. The truck being almost 2x the weight, had a blow out and by the time it was all over, I was accross both lanes, both shoulders, spun around 2 full revolutions, and the truck ended up over the top of the tow bar, the car under the tow bar and the right front of the truck, buried into the right rear of the car. Took me about 45 minutes to get them untangles with 2 floor jacks and the help of 2 other people that I about hit all while CHP was bitching for me to hurry or they were calling a tow truck. I was broke as hell. Luckily the truck ran, so I followed the car sideways like a crab the rest of the way to Marysville/Yuba City, from Los Angeles. The car was totalled. Lucky the Gf had full coverage on it.
