Good afternoon, new here and new to the car world, I currently own a 1977 Cheyenne side step,with a 350 motor.current looking into a 454 big block. My question is is Gen 4 the same as a MK IV? anyone can shed some light would be appreciated thank you in advance

There really isn't a Gen 4. Just Mark IV, Gen V and Gen VI. Some might refer to the Mark IV as a Gen 4 though.

Before you swap in the 454, check with the referee to see what smog equipment is required.
