Well, Im a recent transplant to MN and since I have settled in, I did the usual late-night Craigslist perusing and stumbled across a truck identicle to the one my dad gave me years ago. Went to look at it, settled on a price and had her towed home. After sitting for a number of years, I hooked up a battery, installed a new starter motor and hit the key... fired right up and ran. The body is basically junk but its the correct paint code and drivetrain options to match my first truck... Im on the hunt for a few more parts to get her on the road. Still need a rear driveshaft, pinion yoke on the rear axle and a set of decent tires.
My 6 year old helped with the starter and we have replaced a number of rotten seals together. The day we got it fired up, I could see it in his face that he has been bitten by the bug. Everybody on here remembers that first, rumbling V8 that set things in motion and Im fortunate enough to have the twin to my fathers truck, be the one to get my boy started. Generation #3 is digging on the square bodies.

To any locals near 55123, I am mere weeks away from being ready to hit the trails. If anyone here knows of a LEGAL place to bounce around, we are all ears.
