Been a while since I have been on here but thought I would share my new project. Picked up a 1966 Chevrolet C10 short wide. Came with a clean title and all the body panels. That’s about all I can say good about it. It’s covered in rust and dents but I got it cheap. I tore it down to the frame this weekend. Going to have the frame blasted and painted. Cab is on a cart getting ready for surgery to repair all the floor rust

Digging it! Good to see another old 60's series being saved.

It never gets old seeing the various things previous owners have done to vehicles. Okay, it gets old when it's bad, but cool stuff doesn't. These old trucks always have something that makes one scratch their head as to why this or that was done.

This one is all pretty stock except for the steering column. It seems to be from a square body. Guess they wanted a tilt column. It’s a hack job at best but got the job done at the time. They used all kinds of fun materials including a small piece of plywood, sheet metal roofing screws, and enough white silicone to seal the whole truck.

I like the '63 grille on it, gives it a different look. Cool you got the correct grille with it, though.

Yeah the 63 grille was pretty rough but the correct grille is actually near perfect just needs repainted. The hard part is going to be the floor. It needs a lot of work. Got to find a good deal on some repair panels. Like to get a whole floor but way too expensive

Nice looking find. Looks to be in very good shape for the age and unmolested too.
It’s pretty unmolested. Would be in decent shape if it wasn’t for the floor but they make patch panels for everything just takes time and money.

So what's the plans for the build? Restored, hot rodded, cruiser, etc?

Once all the rust is repaired it will eventually be on air laying frame on 22’s. Body will be mainly stock looking without the trim and everything painted to match.
