Replacing the evaporator I saw someone had put an evaporator core repair kit on the old evaporator. I assume they wasn’t able to get the old orifice tube out. Ordered a new evaporator not thinking I’d need the repair kit again. The angle meeting the new evaporator line out to the hard line is at two very different angles. Length wise it’s not bad but the hard line is very straight and the line out of the evaporator is in very much an upward angle. Am I going to have to cut the new evaporator and put the kit on the new evaporator to make this work? I was really hoping not to cuz I could see where the repair kit could be an easy place for a leak on the evaporator side.

The pictures look like
just a few degrees. Maybe unclamp the hard line and try ever so gently to bend the lines to line up? Be sure to start the threads by hand.
