New AC Delco water pump

Hi,

I'm installing a new water pump on my '81 350 sbc engine. Why does the new AC Delco water pump have weep holes on both the top and bottom of the casting?

Anybody else install one of these?

Maybe they just drilled completely through both sides at the same time. As far as I know most pumps are that way. Even timing belt driven imports.

Nice to see your using an OE pump, although who knows these days…even OE brands, anyway, good choice!

That other "new" weephole has a specific application "we" are unaware of but I bet @bucket knows. Hang tight. He'll tell us.;)
That looks funky like the pump I put on the Blazer, I mighta knew the application then.
