Need help with window riser mechanism

Please help. A friend owns a 1976 K20. The window won't roll up. I figured it had come off of it's track....
One of the wheels is missing from the riser mechanism. (Manual, not electric) How difficult is it to replace the mechanism? The door is pretty beat-up, so if replacing the riser is a serious pain, is replacing the door an easier path? Thanks for any advice.

More involved to replace the window regulator than the door. Six bolts holding the door. Downside to door replacement is realigning it to the truck without damaging the front fender. Removal of the front fender is recommended when replacing the door.

Window regulator will need door panel removed, the vent window mech removed, glass removed and then the regulator.
