thought you all might appreciate this. I went to my local pap yardtoday to get a distributor for a friends truck and happened upon something quite rare to find at a pap.

they are now...thats my truck. pulled them from a 90 burb that was t-boned
just have to tuck some wires and put the door panels back on. they work great. a little bouncy on rough roads but all in all i think worth it. i can see behind my truck so much better with these than with the dumbo ears/sand paddles.

and in case anyone was wondering yes you have to drill all new holes and 1inch bolts with flat washers to the mirrors and fender washers both inside and outside of the door skin will clear the window on the inside however...
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE WITH TINY HANDS TO HELP BOLT THEM ON. lol :33:

Nice find! I like the looks of paddle mirrors better, but power mirrors would be a cool feature on these older trucks.

i like the look of them both. i also like the 3 post mount on single cab 1ton dually flatbeds. but only on those. however power adjustment is nice plus you can add common ammenities like signals and heat too. but the biggest reason i like them is i can adjust my passenger side mirror without having to lay across my seat. It seams like I back in somewhere where i need to see my tire quite often and hate adjusting the paddle mirrors. you could also retro fit some power paddle mirrors of a dodge. ive seen that done

G vans also came with power "dumbo" mirrors.

Oooo! I never even thought about those. I know where there's a Ramcharger sitting in a pasture with power dumbo mirrors. Maybe I can talk him out of them...
