i am watching other trucks that are in worse condition then my truck is in sell for way more.
just because they are lowered and have the ugly ass stock wheels on them they have the look alot of people want i guess.

a 67 with the same rust my truck has the body condition was about the same sold for over 11,000. it had a grease covered staight 6 nasty looking engine bay and was the base model c10.
basically they put a cheap 4'' drop and some 18'' wheels on a old truck and sold it for over 11 grand.

are people really that stupid to pay 3 times what its worth just for 2,000 worth of whels, tires and a drop kit.

maybe i should sand the uper half of the truck almost to bare metal and spray it with salt water let it rust to ****. hack the suspension and put some **** ass steel wheels on it painted bright red. and put some **** ass straght six in it covered in grease. then it would be worth 50 grand ******* DUMB ASS IDIOTS.

You're right. It's amazing the amount of money people will pay for junk that they have no idea what they are looking at. All they see is a drop and rims compared to your yours which looks stock and they'll over pay for the pile of garbage cuz they don't know any better. I'd be more apt to over pay for yours that's largely unmolested as opposed to something that's already dropped or lifted especially if I can't look at it prior to end of sale.

thats how i think stock unmolested is worth more to me. i have fixed to many hack jobs.

you never know how some moron hacked it up if it has been messed up or done right.

a drop is cheap and i would rather choose my own wheels and so on.

Nice !!! I'd also mention in your ad, 71 is first year for Front Disk Brakes, and they were optional at that. By 72 I think they were standard equipment. This might persuade someone who might be considering a 67-70 with drum brakes. Your's is done already.

I'm referring to trucks and fairly certian by 72 front disks were standard. In cars I believe it was 73 maybe even 74 you could still have drums up front.

camaro got front disc brakes in 1970

chevy trucks got disc brakes and 5 lug in 71

and ya i got a couple messages saying nice truck wish i had the cash for it

people with the money to spend are stupid and would rather have a hacked up pile of **** for 3 times as much

but the people that know a good truck don't have much money to spend on basically a toy

oh well looks like it will stay in my collection

That is a nice truck. That is my favorite Chevy truck body style. The rounded fender wells just look cool. And those short bed trucks look sweet fixed up. Wish I could afford it, but I have effectively ran out of vehicle buying money and driveway space.

I saw the add when searching EBAY. ( I havent been here in awhile) A little steep for the amount of rust. I agree I would pay more for ummolested version than someone elses started project.

I say keep it an finish it.. They are cool old trucks.

the only rust is the rockers and cab corners the bed and front clip only have minor surface rust. the price is not steep it is a loaded cheyenne short bed not just the cheap base model c10. 5 lug and front disc brakes

trucks in worse shape have sold for more i have been watching them for awhile deciding if i wanted to sell it.

a 67 with the same rust my truck has the body condition was about the same sold for over 11,000. it had a grease covered staight 6 nasty looking engine bay and was the base model c10.
basically they put a cheap 4'' drop and some 18'' wheels on a old truck and sold it for over 11 grand. it had the perfect patina that everybody wants the top half of the truck rusted to ****.

mine runs good drives good and is unmolested no one will ever convince me its not worth what i am asking for it. all i say is go try to find another one in the same shape for less **** HEAD.(thats not aimed at anyone on here just all the retards that tell me its just a old dime a dozen chevy)

i pulled a car trailer with a 89 camaro from salt lake city to rock springs wy just over 200 miles with it and wyoming and utah are not flat they are mountain states. and for a half ton short bed with a mild small block it pulled that trailer with no problem. it did not get hot it did not stumble at all. not many 71 chevy trucks can still do that.
the truck runs and drives so good i would get in it and drive it anywhere with no worries.

but why am i defending my truck **** it if idiots want to pay for a **** truck. that has a **** rusted patina with hacked suspension and a thousand dollars worth of wheels that needs a complete rebuild. rather than a solid running truck that needs minimal body repair that has never been hacked.

if its a dime a dozen chevy why the **** did you flip a bitch in traffic and chase me into walmart just to ask me if i would sell it. and why do i have people waiting at my truck when i get back to it just to ask me if i would sell it. or leaving notes under the wiper and buissiness cards in the door handle with prices wrote on them. that was all before i tried to sell it when i did not want to sell it.
sorry for the rant my anger over this is not aimed at anyone that has posted in this thread do not take offense. i am just sick of people telling me it just a dime a dozen chevy. **** em nuff said.:upyours:
