Got an idea for how to deal with those speaker holes in my door panels.. I’m painting them Satin Black with Carbon Fiber inlays.. what do you think about the hole covers. You have imagine them black. It’s a home foundation vent cover

good idea. Or you could carpet cover the hole in the pocket, then try to match the horizontal vents on the backside to cover the top of the hole.

You've got me wondering about the pockets....if I could make some for my 86.

Good idea but I’m done with carpet on those panels.. Took a lot of Goo Gone and elbow grease to strip the old carpet off the bottoms.. think I’ll gradually change the interior to satin black and carbon fiber

Pullin your hand out of the pocket could be like a cheese grater on your knuckles.
Did you check the Junkyards? Especially since you're paintin'em anyway.

That's not wokring for me (but not my truck). Honestly, I'd look at getting some vinyl and covering them.

After thinking this over I decided to just put speakers in the bottom holes and put a small speaker grille over top smaller hole.. I think with a nice 10” Kicker box behind the seat and the 6x5’s in the door’s and a nice amp.. Should be fine in a regular cab OBS
