She has been in the family for 14 years. I am the third owner. I bought it from a neighbor. My son abused her through high school. It was originally a 305 with a 700R4. It had a 350 in it when I bought it. That motor blew a head gasket while I was driving it, so I bought a new Chevy 250 HP crate 350 engine. The PO had done a bunch of questionable work to the original 350. The crate motor at the time was like 1400.00 some of the best money I spent on a vehicle. The boy toasted the 700R, so in went with a 350 trans.
My son went on to college and wanted a more reliable vehicle can you say Honda. The truck became mine. I updated some of the interior about 8years ago, it still doesn't have a radio. I have since added a set of Vortech heads. Back when they were cheap. I also went with a Hyd. roller cam for a Chevy HT 383 crate engine. These were great improvements over the boat anchor heads and flat cam. I am now rebuilding the front and rear suspension. I need to repair the AC. I couldn't get the system to take any gas last summer. The shader valve failed, the orifice tube broke off in evap ,and the issues just snow balled. I bought all new parts, just lack finishing up. Future mods include a lunch box locker in the rear 10 bolt. I have the locker and a diff cover in my work shop. Possible gear changes when the locker gets installed. I think it still has the OE 3.08's. Shes a 7 from 50' away . I'll take a pic of the SPID and post it later.
