ls3 swap bell housing w/pictures

I am swapping a ls3 into an 85' chevy k20 suburban w/ muncie465 manual 4sp and for the most part the bell housing bolts line up but not all such as the 12 o'clock position does it matter if they dont all get used?

You don't need the 12 o'clock bolt. Pretty much everything else doesn't have it. Rest easy

Jeeze… I’ve never messed with LS stuff other than my wife’s Yukons over the years.

I kinda looked into this and it seems like people have more issues with the flywheel & pilot bearing combo. No one on the interwebs talks about bellhousing bolts.

Looks like you might be able to fabricate a holding bracket using that top hole. Can probably carefully flatten a spit in the bell housing and press it to the block to keep it from vibrating and flexing.

Yeah thanks I could probably have somebody aluminum shop weld something on the top as well
