Howdy, I’ve got a 91 burb with a half ton frame and 3/4 tons runnin gear (dana44 and Corp 14 bolt). The beast has a 9 inch lift in front and 11 inch in rear. It had a junk 350, last owner used rtv as a head gasket :/ ,,nuff said.bullet proofed the th400 and bullet proofed the np208c. It originally was gonna get a 400 stroker but that went in a different project. I want to find a 12 valve to put in, and a nv2500 tranny. What do I need to know before I get too serious? I’ve heard that you need to get a plate to “clock” the transfer case so the front driveline is lower. Will a np208c work with a nv2500? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will need to move up to a D60 up front. The Cummins will be too much for ten bolt housing... forget about the wimpy axles and knuckles..

Np208 bolts right up to an nv4500. Not so sure about the clearance though with a Cummins swap. You’ll need to get figure out the shaft in the tranny to input from a Cummins and output to a GM 208.
