Looking for a tailgate lock

Are there aftermarket tailgate locks out there to fit an ‘87 ?
I tried to “search” the subject but found no results.......maybe I’m doing it wrong ?

Is there a tailgate lock to fit ANY Squarebody ??

I mean, if you dont mind the look, you could install a latch that can hold a padlock.. of course with some security bits or bolts that cant be removed easily. Perhaps, to make it less visually bad, a latch on the interior part of bed and tailgate that can swing out of way and maybe hold out of the way with a magnet.

it says for a 88+ chevy, but maybe it will work with the handle yet? im not familiar with the handle styles on newer ones.

But, I know the latch should be similar. gmt400 stepside box i have has same hardware mounting, just different handle. as in, it doesnt have a handle``

Are you trying to lock were the tailgate can't be opened or taken off/stolen?
