I sure like the paint on that gold and white one, but would like it a lot better if it weren't slammed.
My trucks get used for truck things, and I like to be able to go over curbs and other obstacles if need be, and be able to change the oil without needing to jack it up.

I like to be able to sit under mine. Lol

Agreed! I am not wanting to do low profiles, if anything, meaty side walls. I like the wheels and want to keep them. This is my style. I stanced my 84 el Camino with staggered tires (275/60/15 & 235/65/15). Great stance on the el Camino ! Tough looking and tasteful at the same time. Beautiful!

I kind of wanted to drop the truck down and do some wide tires on the rear with a little rake, but I am afraid I won’t like it. So I am looking for what everyone has in general. I love the long beds, just need inspiration and ideas.
Opinions are valued and I look for ward to seeing your set ups, I just don’t know what will look good.

The stock wide wheels are 8", not 9". Wheels are always classified by the width of where the tire beads seat, not the physical overall width of the rim.

If I owned any of those I would have to put about a 6" lift on them before I would want anyone to see me in them!! Great looking trucks if they were just up in the air more.

I'm with you. I like seeing these pickups at their stock height for 2wd's and a little lift on the 4x4's. I think someone else mentioned 31" tires earlier. I agree with that. Keep the cool rally wheels with 31" tires to fill the wheel wells up a bit more. Looks tougher IMHO compared to lowering. Cool truck no matter what you do though!

Can we really say what stock height is/was? These Lego trucks came with so many load options besides the factory 'reality' equipment. I've heard of factories running out of 12 bolts for the rear end so they stuck 14 bolt 10.5s in them.

Just saying, we might be best to paint with a wide brush as far as 'factory specs' go.
All the more reason these trucks are so much fun, millions of option and kinda defacto 'no rules' other than pick from the GM square parts box.

My little mind is still blown by the fact bog blocks and small blocks share a few parts...
sadly that philosophy of practicality is gone, other than us guys keeping these scraps running.

Nice truck, agree with the no low pros. 275 60 15’s will fill up the front wheel well. Rears can be 295 60 15’s, there’s a lot of room back there.
This website is great for comparing tire sizes.

Differences in taste and how we like our trucks is what makes this hobby go 'round and 'round :)
