Strange request for sure. Easton has found an upholstery shop to finally do his seat. Downside it’s going to take 2 weeks and he needs his truck obviously during the down time.

Anyone in the DFW area know where we can buy/rent an old bench or solo seat so he can keep driving his truck during the process?

Any help appreciated!

Are you doing anything special? Because just recovering the seat is a simple process which can be done in an afternoon.

Yeah, we have done the bucket stuff quite a bit during the process.. 2 weeks, not sure momma would be good with that.

Also, like Clint Eastwood says “every good man needs to know his limitations “

He is doing cup holders in the seats so beyond our abilities

We had the bucket seat conversation before. Mine didn't turn out well. Somebody used a square bale ,much better idea. As a matter of fact temporarily and depending on where I had to go how often. I think I'd throw a bale in there.

Just something to think about...Every seat I have reupholstered, I add seat heaters. They are less than a $100 on Amazon for a quality set. I also try and have them add pockets on the back of the seat so that I can store paperwork, etc. On my son's truck, I added rear seat back pockets and a front pocket for a phone. I am using atomic armadillo's C10 cupholders that mount to the frame and installing the seat heater controls and a USB port.

Looks good! When I sand blasted my scout I found some old lead body work in like 3 places!

We found some interesting stuff ourselves….. quite the undertaking for a 15 year old.. did it himself in the 100 degree Texas heat. Everyday for 77 days until it was painted… proud of his effort
