Little yellow wire

What is the little yellow wire for? the one that goes from the left side of the junction box to the in line fuse.

I've searched wiring diagrams and cannot figure it out.

Mine is not connected to anything.

What is the little yellow wire for? the one that goes from the left side of the junction box to the in line fuse.

Thats funny its my picture lol i didnt have a working heater blower till i put a fuse in that holder and now i do so id say it works with the blower

Sorry for the theft. I saw that picture and It immediately reminded me of my issue.

My blower works, Must be RPO 7736774r8 as installed by prior owner. That should be POO 99999 for prior owner option installed without regard to any consequences.

It's yellow and a yellow wire goes to the points type distributor from the starter. I have HEI so I don't need that wire. But I can't imagine a fuse in line if its that wire.

I never traced it but like i said i popped in a fuse and my blower started workin. Idc about the pic theft, i just saw it and was like hey thats my truck lol if it helps you find what you lookin for then use it.

Just reading another post about the yellow wire. Talks about blower fan. Need to check this out,

What's not factory? The yellow wire.

Correct. GM did not put that there. That's some P.O.'s hack. You'll have to either follow it, or disconnect it to see what stops working.

In my case i know its connected to the blower because thats what didnt work till i put a fuse in it.

Well, there you go. Somebody's improvisation instead of solving the actual problem. Most vehicles end up this way. But I promise you GM did not install that fuse holder.

Already disconnected. Just dies there to broken in line fuse.

But same yellow wire, to in line fuse on two different trucks?

I'm sure lots of auto parts stores carry fuse holders with yellow wire.
