I was sure my factory shop manual had a list of bulbs used in the trucks and had the bulb numbers and applications, but now I cannot find that page.
I need to get the number for the interior dome lamp, it's a two terminal base like the 1157 taillight bulbs, but it's a single filament and the **** that lock it in the socket are straight across from each other, not offset like the 1157 is, if my memory is correct.
I still don't understand why they used a two terminal bulb in the application, when a single should have worked fine.

What year? I can show the 1980 as I'm sure bulbs might have changed over time

Thanks, my truck is an 82 made for 83 model year.
My 84 shop manual calls for 1004, and your 85 manual shows the cylinder shaped bulb, so 85 seems to be the year they redesigned the dome lamp socket.

Sounds just like the bulb for my cargo light, 1986 model.
That is an 1142 bulb. And confirmed by the chart that @custodian posted.

And thanks @custodian. I saved that list for future reference.

Here's from my factory 84 shop manual, I believe it's the same for 82 and 83, and may apply for earlier models.

Thought I'd add the lamp bulb page from my 1978 k10 manual. And ask a question, sorry to bump an old thread, this came up when I searched for P model info.

My question is, what does the P model mean? The title lists this as a 1978 K10 and vin decoders do as well. I was just curious what the P models are?

Ahh, i just found out, the P model is a Step Van (P10), an old box delivery van. Hope someone can use the Lamp Bulb list at least.
