So first cut started out dumb. I didn't think about it being hollow.

Bit of a crazy thought, but in the future I suppose you could get fancy and weld bits from a burb cab on.. I could not imagine the labor and skill that would be needed to make it all work and look cleanish..

But the thought of a 2 door, short wheel base "k5 burban" with rear barn doors sounds pretty badass to me.

So you started out with needing a tailgate and you decided to cut the top so now you need one of those too. Or at least extensive repair to the existing one.

What was the goal here?

That canopy door on that green k5 looks perfect. That was the idea but I thought this idea would be easier and cheaper.
I found a truck tailgate with hardware for 60 bucks. Ordered plexiglass. Was in the garage trying to find a big piece of cardboard and saw original glass, so templete just became very easy.
Hopefully can get it done for less than 200$

I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to install the hinge and seals.
