What’s up. First thread. 3rd truck.
Idk what it is but every time I pickup one of these squarebody trucks I tell myself I’m gonna fixer up and have yet to complete one. Maybe this time will be different.
Anywho, I’ve had this one for about a year, 84 gmc shortbed.

Welcome! It’s not a disease, it’s cure. For having too much money in your bank account. Haha, just kidding. Sweet truck!

Thanks for the welcoming. Just down here in Houston,Tx area trying to start makin it happen. I’d really like to start my own build log. Tired of envying everyone else’s progress and I ain’t got no mechanic buddies or know anyone local that has a square. So I figure this is next best thing to keep the “I do what I say” motto alive and maybe someone will give me crap and help with the push or give advice and vise versa lol.

But it really is a disease. Passed down for generations. My father is the same way. We love these old vehicles, want them all, and even if they sit in the backyard rotting away, we’d never get rid of em. Ehh well I kinda broke that tradition as I did sell one of my trucks. It wasn’t easy.

Welcome to the forum, from Houston.
I agree, one old car or truck, becomes two more easily than it should. My Dad had that "problem" and it eventually got expensive. I kinda had it too, and finally got rid of my extra projects. Two daily drivers and one long term "retirement" project is enough....
