Is a 1998 K1500 bed the same as a 1999 1500 bed? I found this Dual liner kit, and they don't actually make it for a 1998 so I wanted to know if the '99 would work. Thanks.

If i remember correctly 99 pickups are GMT800 and 98 are gmt400. Not sure if bed dimensions changed but they are different gen trucks.

I didn’t know there were any regular GMT400S pickups for ‘99. I know they had the SUVs and some bigger trucks...

I didnt know they did that either. But according to wikipedia:

1998 meant minor trim and badge updates as GM readied the end of the GMT-400 platform. There was some overlap in 1999–2002 model years. In response to continued fleet sales, the GMT400 trucks were produced as the Sierra Classic/Silverado Classic until the GMT400 ended production at the end of the 2002 model year. A Brazilian version of the GMT400 was produced in Brazil powered with a Chevrolet inline six, a 4.2-liter I6 MWM Sprint Turbodiesel and a 4.0L I4 NA Maxion Diesel.

I had a 2000 GMT400 Tahoe which I thought was wierd because they had changed over to GMT800 in 1999.

I'm not doubting any uncommon exceptions, but the "classic" line was mostly '99-'00 that were diesel, big block, crew cab, or a combo of those. Which made them all 2500 and 3500 trucks.

Medium duty stuff went through '02, but no pickup beds.

Most SUV's were just '99. But there were special edition type models offered in '00.

Maybe get a used bed liner and just use the sides of it? Then get a rubber bed mat that's also fit for the '98?

That works, I don't care what they say about you, you really are helpful.
